Dear Fellow Members,

Your Policies & Procedures Committee has been working for a long time on getting this out to you.  As you read through this document, you will see that it is probably 98% the same as our Constitution & By-Laws.  The only changes made have been typed in bold letters and underlined as well.

This manual is divided into two parts.  Part one is what will become our Constitution & By-laws, if approved by the church, and part two will become our new policy and procedures manual, again if approved by the church.

You will notice that the Manual includes the language for use of Ministry Teams.  If the church decides not to go with the ministry teams and revert back to the committee format, the manual can easily be changed upon approval by the church.

The Constitution & By-laws contains items that should rarely be changed or amended.  The manual contains items that might change with the ministry of the church and thus needs to be in the manual so that it is more easily changed (such as how many might serve on a ministry team or committee).

Please take the time to look this over.  If you have any questions, additions, suggestions or other comments, please feel free to ask any committee member.  We are planning a night for a question and answer period sometime in October so that everyone can have a chance to respond to this manual.  After your questions have been answered, we will bring it to a vote most likely during November’s business meeting (it will have to be presented during October’s meeting to be voted on in November).

Thank you for taking the time to look through this important document.

Your Policy & Procedures Committee,

Steve Reynolds, Loretta Ogden, Chris Johnston, Raleigh York, Jr., Tim Landreth
